This curriculum allows students to ask questions, collaborate with peers, and carry out investigations. It also provides teachers with the tools to make biology interesting for students by integrating reading, discussing, experimenting, presenting, watching, calculating, and writing—there is something for every student.

BSCS Science Educator Paul Numedahl will present a teacher workshop titled “Science as Inquiry: Outside the Book.” This workshop focuses on how to incorporate open inquiry into your classroom, how to inspire students through their own research questions, and how your students can benefit from participating in various science competitions. Middle and high school teachers will earn two contact hours toward recertification by participating in this free workshop.
