Because of the BSCS commitment to science education and the use of research, I have had many opportunities to reference materials and use the skills and knowledge gained to help my district and region build and sustain science reform efforts.
As part of the Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival, BSCS will be providing free professional development for local teachers. BSCS Science Educators April Gardner and Brooke Bourdélat-Parks will present a two-hour seminar titled, "Getting Ready for the Changes in AP Biology" at 4:00 p.m. Bring your AP Bio book and learn how to identify (or create) a story line for your course. Teachers attending a BSCS session will receive two CDE credits. For more information on the Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival, click here.
