BSCS will host a two-day Diabetes Education curriculum field-test teacher orientation.
BSCS Science Educator Anne Westbrook is Principal Investigator for this project, in which BSCS is developing seven inquiry-based curriculum units for use in grades K–12 science or health classes.
The curriculum, funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), will focus on improving understanding about the biology underlying type 2 diabetes and how individuals can make decisions that affect their health.
