BSCS has helped us to develop a close-knit community of educators and leaders that are dedicated to updating and transforming our classrooms to be student centered and inquiry based.
BSCS is developing seven inquiry-based curriculum units for use in grades K–12 science or health classes. The curriculum, funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), will focus on improving understanding about the biology underlying type 2 diabetes and how individuals can make decisions that affect their health.
