Because of the BSCS commitment to science education and the use of research, I have had many opportunities to reference materials and use the skills and knowledge gained to help my district and region build and sustain science reform efforts.

Andy Fletcher, President, CEO of Life, the Universe and Everything Inc., will be the featured speaker at this month's event, sponsored by the Colorado Springs Science Center Project (CSSCP). Science on Tap is a community outreach program designed to gather audiences in a fun and casual environment to learn from local scientists about contemporary science topics. Mr. Fletcher's talk is titled "Life, the Universe and Everything: From the Very Large to the Very Small, Everything has Changed."
Andy Fletcher has been speaking to the world’s smartest high school students since 1991 on the dramatic changes in the scientific worldview that started in 1900. Caused by Einstein’s two theories of Relativity, plus Quantum Mechanics, Chaos and Complexity Theories, and most recently the confluence of the Strong Anthropic Principle and various theories on the Multiverse, vis-à-vis the existence of God, the changes are beyond dramatic to unbelievable. Interactive talks given to nearly 200 schools in 38 countries over two decades continue to grow in popularity. As Eddington famously said, “Not only is the universe stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.”
It’s a “choose-your-own-adventure” Science on Tap! This months’ specific topic will be determined by the audience’s choice, interest, and Andy’s response to that choice. Andy’s areas of expertise are: Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Chaos/Complexity Theory, Strong Anthropic Principle, & Multiverse. Investigate one topic… investigate them all. Explore modern science like you’ve never explored it before!
