BSCS contributes to NSTA professional development book
Exemplary Science: Best Practices in Professional Development
Janet Carlson, BSCS Executive Director, and Joe Taylor, Director of the BSCS Center for Research and Evaluation, are two of seven science education professionals who co-wrote a chapter in the NSTA publication, Exemplary Science: Best Practices in Professional Development. The book was featured in November at NSTA Denver with book signings and session presentations, and is available through NSTA.
San Diego writers Kim Bess, David R. Van Dusen, Bill Pearson, Bonnie Schindler, and Danine Ezell filled out the chapter-writing team.
The chapter is titled “Rethinking the Continuing Education of Science Teachers: An Example of Transformative, Curriculum-based Professional Development.”
