Swiss science educator visits BSCS
 On December 14, 2007, Swiss science educator Kurt Frischknecht visited BSCS to learn about our work in teacher education.
Frischknecht took part in an informal lunchtime seminar with several BSCS staff, including small-group discussions following his presentation about the science education system in Switzerland. A biologist in the field of teacher education at the Pedagogical University of St. Gallen/Switzerland, Frischknecht is working on sabbatical to elaborate a master plan for a new Institute of Didactics in Natural Sciences.  His work includes identifying topics for research and curriculum development in science and technology education that are relevant, promising, and primarily useful for in-service teachers in primary and secondary schools, K-10.
