The TIMSS study of 8th grade science teaching examines science teaching practices in more than 400 classrooms to compare practices in the U.S. to those in higher-achieving countries. The TIMSS 1999 Video Study: Science Public Release Lessons CD set contains five full-length videotaped lessons from each of five countries: Australia, Czech Republic, Japan, Netherlands, and United States.
This CD set was produced in 2007 by the LessonLab Research Institute at Pearson and is being distributed by BSCS. For ideas about how to use video clips from this set to highlight the findings from the TIMSS study in presentations or workshops, please contact Kathy Roth.
