BSCS uses the most recent studies by eminent researchers to provide pertinent/relative professional development for teachers who wish to have their student learn science.
BSCS Executive Director Janet Carlson was a keynote speaker at a workshop focused on effective teaching, learning, professional development, and instructional materials. The workshop was intended to spark scholarly discussion and thought regarding how we design professional development and instructional materials.
The workshop was a funded activity through National Geographic Education Foundation's Roadmap for Geographic Education grant (from the National Science Foundation) and was hosted by the National Council for Geographic Education, a non-profit organization chartered to enhance the status and quality of geography teaching and learning. On this page you’ll find the session presentation in downloadable PDF form. Click on the session title to download presentation.
